The “AI Aspirations: R&D for Public Missions” summit held on June 13, 2024, is a perfect example. Hosted by the Executive Office of the President and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the conference brought together leading experts from across the federal government, universities, industry and the media to share their visions of transformative national capabilities by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence.

SES was responsible for leading all elements of this groundbreaking, unprecedented event that discussed the promise of AI for public purposes, such as developing new medicines for diseases in months versus years, creating individualized learning to benefit students and teachers, constructing more flexible, reliable electric grids to accelerate clean energy deployment, and developing more advanced weather forecasts to save lives and protect property, to name a few. SES was proud to be called upon to support such a worthwhile initiative.
